Your 3.5-hour trek to the bioluminous bay leaves at 6:00 PM in the summer months and 5:00 PM in winter from the Cayman Island Yacht Club Slip B43. Enjoy a beautiful Cayman sunset on the way to Starfish Point. Bring your own beverage, light dinner or snack to enjoy on the boat or the beach. Coolers and ice water are provided. After leaving Starfish Point we head into the beautiful bio bay and spend 45-60 minutes in the bay. You can swim in the bay wearing a snorkeling mask and life vest or stay on the boat to view this amazing sight. Enjoy star-gazing on your journey back to the dock. You might even see a shooting star on a clear night! Tour is back at the dock by 9:00 or 8:30 pm, again depending on season and departure time. All guests are kindly asked to call and confirm their tour with us at least 24 hours prior to tour date. Please know that tours under ten passengers may not run. Thank you.

The new "must do" item in the Caymans

This was one of the highlights of our 7 day trip to the Caymans. My husband and I took along our 5.5 year old (who is a strong swimmer) who absolutely loved the experience. The crew was exceedingly thoughtful and detail-oriented. They invited my son to come up and help them drive the boat which was especially thrilling for him. They also ensured that each passenger that wanted to go into the Bay was wearing a thin lycra suit (supplied by the company) to prevent jellyfish stings as it was jellyfish season. It was absolutely glorious to feel like you were swimming in a sea of neon lights as the phytoplankton lit up with each movement. While it was on the late side for our little one it was a worthwhile experience and all of us had a really great time. This is a MUST DO!

Other-worldly, must-see, unimaginable experience!

Aliano and Debbie brought us to the bay for an unbelievable night of becoming Tinkerbell. Every movement of our bodies produced a sparkling wonderland as we water-danced with the bioluminescent plankton. Have you ever made a glowing water angel? If not, you have to do this!

Swimming in Bio Bay

We had an amazing experience on the bio bay tour! We booked the excursion through our hotel and took a taxi ride to the pier where the boat was docked. We made a stop at the starfish point while the sun was setting. Then we went into bio bay and our captain gave us some dive skins to protect us and keep warm while swimming the bay. This was a once in a lifetime experience swimming in the bay with the bioluminescent creatures! Another bonus was the beautiful starry sky! I highly recommend not missing this!

Great experience

Great trip - the travel to the first stop was uneventful despite some chop. Sea stars were remarkable, as was the bioluminescent bay. Highly recommend.

Great Bioluminous Experience.

The Bioluminous Tour is a must for your trip to the Caymans and Seafarer Adventures does an excellent job of ensuring your experience is extraordinary! Our first stop included starfish bay. We were able to see a variety of starfish to see. Just be careful of the jellyfish. The highlight of the tour was by far the bioluminescence bay where we were able to swim in the bay. It was an amazing experience seeing the blue glow with every movement in the water. We would highly recommend this tour!
